As a ratepayer, how do you know that the rates you have historically paid are correct?

 

Sanderson Weatherall provides a specialist audit service which, through meticulous research into past rate years, ensures the accuracy of existing rates levels and checks whether there are any credits lying in local authority holding accounts should have been returned to our clients. 

 

These credits may consist of overpayments or refunds that should have been received due to changes in rateable values. Interest or tax refunds are often also be due on overpayments, together with a tax certificate, which enables a refund in tax already paid to be obtained from HM Revenues and Customs.

 

We recalculate what the rates payment should have been over the past years to make sure that what our clients have paid is actually correct.

 

Our fees for this service are totally incentive based - if we find nothing, you pay us nothing.
