Stock Valuation and Disposal
This is another highly specialist discipline which requires detailed analysis of stock lists, markets, competitors, customers, inventory composition, costs and legal issues.
Disposal needs careful appraisal to decide the right strategy for maximum returns and minimum costs. It isn’t always ten pence in the pound!

Compulsory Purchases and Compensation
Compulsory purchase orders (CPOs) can be a difficult time for any business. Let us take some of the strain out of this complex and time-consuming process. We can help with the valuation of machinery and all business assets including stock, the assessment of removal costs and disturbance. We can also help to assess compensation and negotiate with acquiring authorities.
We also work for acquirers in vetting any claims that follow CPOs - and of course we dispose of surplus assets in partial or total extinguishment cases.

Taxation Valuations and Rating
Examining Capital Allowances when you buy a building can save you money. The plant and machinery elements of a building, such as service installations, have a writing down allowance of 25 per cent, as against a building at 4 per cent against tax. We produce an apportionment of the purchase price which is acceptable to the Inland Revenue and enables you to save on tax.
We can also help with valuations for grants, estate duties, stamp duty and of course…
Rating
Where there is a significant quantity of rateable plant in a client’s premises, we work closely with our property specialists to provide the best possible advise on rating.
